Yun Mei, M.S.Ed., MHC-LP, is a Mental Health Counselor with a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University.

Ms. Mei specializes in treating complex trauma, low self-esteem, relationship issues, women's issues, personality disorders, and first-generation multicultural issues. She has experience working with diverse populations, with various presenting issues, such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, family and relationship conflicts, and major life transitions. Ms. Mei utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from psychodynamic, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral theories to support clients in identifying personal goals.

Ms. Mei strives to provide a safe space for clients to allow them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and past without fear of being judged or invalidated. She draws on her intersecting identities of being Chinese American and a woman. She approaches clients with unconditional positive regard, warmth, and empathy. Ms. Mei helps clients tap into their inherent strength and resilience to overcome hardships and challenges towards their goals.
