Sara Vasiliou, LMSW, obtained her Master of Social Work at New York University. Ms. Vasiliou specializes in grief work, trauma and couples counseling. She has cared for residents in a nursing home setting and is on the advisory board of the Pregnancy Loss Support Program where she works with bereaved individuals, couples, and groups.

Ms. Vasiliou has worked with diverse people across the lifespan including those presenting with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, gender concerns, and life transitions. She uses a strengths-based approach and incorporates principles from psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness to create a space that is open for reflection, dialogue, and contemplation of tough questions. Ms. Vasiliou holds her clients’ trust as sacrosanct and believes time spent in therapy is a gift we bestow on ourselves. With kindness and humor, Ms. Vasiliou helps individuals and couples mend past wounds and step into the most joyful version of themselves.
