Rachel White, MHC-LP, is a Mental Health Counselor. Ms. White studied Theater in University College Cork, Ireland, before immigrating to New York City, and graduated from the Mental Health Counseling program at Brooklyn College. Ms. White’s experience includes volunteered with Reading Partners and SEO Scholars as a peer mentor. As a graduate student, she interned with CASES doing outreach mental health services with at-risk individuals experiencing serious mental health concerns. She also worked in the Brooklyn College Counseling Center with college students of all ages.
Ms. White works with adolescents, adult individuals and couples. She works with clients who experience anxiety and depression, life transitions, mood disorders, self-esteem issues and the impacts of trauma. She has experience working with individuals with acute anxiety, obsessive compulsive symptoms, and bipolar diagnoses. Ms. White works with clients of diverse cultural backgrounds and is LGBTQ+ affirming.
Ms. White works psychodynamically and brings in elements of the body-mind connection to provide a warm and relaxed environment for personal exploration and growth. She encourages the active use of clients’ personal values and beliefs to create meaning and explore new ways to feel good in life. Ms.White strives to help clients make meaning out of struggles and build a foundation for emotional resiliency.
