Rachel Honoroff, LCSW

Rachel Honoroff, LCSW, earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Anthropology from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
Ms. Honoroff received advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).
Ms. Honoroff specializes in working with individuals and families that have experienced trauma with a focus on relational trauma, including intimate partner violence and childhood abuse. She has additional expertise in providing suicide prevention and crisis counseling and has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in residential and outpatient settings. Her clinical and supervisory work is influenced by psychodynamic theory and integrative methods including mindfulness, body-based, and cognitive behavioral techniques. Ms. Honoroff has been a staff member with MTZ Counseling since 2018. She is currently Clinical Supervisor of MTZ Counseling staff therapists.
