Michal Tziyon, Psya.D., LCSW, is a certified psychoanalyst and a clinical social worker licensed in New York and Massachusetts. She obtained her doctorate and certificate in clinical psychoanalysis from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. She obtained her Master of Social Work Degree from New York University.

Dr. Tziyon is a mental health clinician with over 25 years experience in the field. She worked in a variety of settings in New York City, including inpatient psychiatric social work, outpatient community mental health, substance abuse recovery, and private practice. In 2017, Dr. Tziyon founded MTZ Counseling, expanding her practice to serve a wider population and train psychotherapists. She recruits exceptionally talented psychotherapists and graduate psychotherapy interns for the practice. MTZ Counseling is a training site for graduate students from New York University School of Social Work and Baruch College at the City University of New York, Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

Dr. Tziyon finds great fulfillment in her clinical work with patients, and her mentoring and training relationships with MTZ Counseling staff and graduate interns. She currently directs her group practice in Tribeca, lower Manhattan.
