Macy Weinman, MHC-LP, is a Mental Health Counselor in New York State. She holds an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College and a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School. Ms. Weinman formerly worked in an outpatient setting offering comprehensive dialectical behavior therapy and was recognized by New York State’s Office of Mental Health in 2026 for specializing in evidence-based treatment. At present, she continues to deepen her study of psychoanalytic technique and the ways in which unconscious dynamics influence people’s lives. Her treatment approach centers this psychodynamic framework and is supported by behavioral interventions.

Ms. Weinman’s practice is additionally informed by 20 years of teaching experience. She primarily worked as a teaching artist in New York City’s public elementary schools, offering creative movement classes to English language learners and diverse learners. In conjunction with her teaching, she trained in trauma-informed best practices and mentored early-career teaching artists. She remains on faculty with programs offering dance classes for people with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

Ms. Weinman welcomes individuals from wherever they are beginning, or continuing, in therapy. She is committed to working at each person’s pace and offers a caring, receptive, and collaborative process. Her clinical specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, eating disorders, personality disorders, and chronic illness. Ms. Weinman enjoys working with children, teenagers, adults, and older adults and warmly greets people of all identities and cultural backgrounds.
