Lisa Chen, MHC-I, is obtaining her master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College. Ms. Chen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology and studio art with a concentration in Japanese language from Hunter College. Ms. Chen has experience as a therapeutic assistant at an inpatient psychiatric unit, where she led art therapy groups.

Ms. Chen works with adolescents and adults of all ages. She works with a range of issues including anxiety, eating disorders, body image issues, life transitions, self-esteem, and more. She utilizes a client-centered approach informed by mindfulness, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral modalities.

Ms. Chen creates a warm and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, fostering self-awareness, insights, and coping skills. She is committed to cultural openness and sensitivity while respecting and valuing diverse backgrounds for inclusive care. Within the therapeutic process, Ms. Chen empowers clients on their journey to well-being, guiding them towards gaining skills for a more meaningful and authentic lifestyle.
