Lily Anderson, MHC-LP obtained her masters in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University. Ms. Anderson graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in Journalism and Fashion Media, having previously worked in sales analytics and as a childcare provider for over a decade. Ms. Anderson has also volunteered with the Crisis Text Hotline and is a certified crisis and suicide prevention counselor.
Ms. Anderson works with people of all ages, from children to adults, with a particular interest and care for adolescents and young adults. She works with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, intergenerational conflict, and life transitions. She also works with children and families through the changes and challenges of family life. Ms. Anderson works with a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and is LGBTQ+ affirming.
Ms. Anderson creates a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for her clients. Her approach is client-centered, utilizing cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and postmodern modalities. In collaboration with clients, Ms. Anderson facilitates an exploration of underlying feelings that affect day-to-day life, helping clients discover their interests and passions, so that new awareness may create changes towards her clients’ goals.
