Kerem Degirmencioglu, MHC-I, is obtaining his master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from CUNY School of Professional Studies. Mr. D. is a trained Crisis Counselor and volunteered for the Crisis Text Line. As a student counselor, he has worked with the LGBTQ+ community and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds in the San Francisco Health Center One clinic.

Mr. D. is LGBTQ+ affirming and works with clients from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds. He helps individuals with issues related to identity, life transitions, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, careers, and everyday challenges. Mr. D. believes therapy is a collaborative journey. His approach is eclectic, client-centered, and informed by mindfulness, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral modalities.

Mr. D. creates a warm, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, fostering self-awareness, insights, and coping abilities. He provides the tools and support that help individuals, couples and adolescents build resilience and thrive.
