Jess Levitan, MA, MSW-I, is pursuing her Master of Social Work at New York University. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Global Public Health, both from New York University. Ms. Levitan is Associate Director of NYU's Prison Education Program, where she provides counseling and holistic re-entry support to students transitioning from incarceration to on-campus study. Previously, she worked as a college advisor embedded in a Brownsville high school guidance office with the NYU College Advising Corps, supporting students and families facing complex financial, legal, and social challenges. Ms. Levitan has also volunteered with the Fireside Project, providing peer support to individuals during and after psychedelic experiences.

Ms. Levitan has spent her career supporting individuals through significant life transitions and systemic barriers. She is currently training to become an outpatient mental health provider and psychotherapist for adults and adolescents. Drawing from a psychodynamic framework, she helps clients make sense of their experience and shift entrenched patterns in how they relate to themselves and the world around them. She works with people of all backgrounds, identities and ethnicities who are feeling anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed, encouraging curiosity about their inner world. Ms. Levitan approaches each client with curiosity and warmth, working to build a collaborative relationship in which genuine exploration and lasting change can take root.
