Ms Rella, LMHC, is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Ms Rella received a Master of Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University Graduate School of Education. She is a New York City Department of Health Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor, has Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and completed the One-Year Intensive Psychotherapy Program at the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity. Ms Rella is presently a clinical supervisor and Baruch College internship coordinator at MTZ Counseling. She has been a staff therapist with MTZ Counseling since January 2018.

Previously, Ms. Rella was a Primary Therapist at The Renfrew Center of New York where she provided outpatient therapy for individuals seeking treatment for eating disorders. Additionally, as a Licensed NYC Well Hotline Counselor, she provided services in suicide prevention and crisis intervention.

Ms Rella utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach that blends Psychodynamic and Relational strategies. She works with a wide range of presenting problems, including depression, generalized anxiety, career/academic transitions, bereavement, eating disorders, relationship distress, sexual trauma and family conflict.  In her work with clients, she utilizes an interactive therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for developing insight, and cultivating the growth that clients wish to pursue.
