Jennifer Rubell, MHC-I, is pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Harvard University. Through the non-profit Parents in Action, Ms. Rubell has extensive experience facilitating parent groups at New York City independent schools, as well as training group facilitators. In these roles, she supports parents in discussing the often unspoken complexities of family life, including conflict, responsibility, boundaries, finances, cultural difference, and the emotional impact of parenting.
Ms. Rubell works with adults of all ages, couples, and co-parents who are navigating periods of change, uncertainty, or strain in their personal or family lives. Clients tend to seek support at moments when familiar ways of coping or relating no longer feel sufficient, and when greater clarity about what is happening feels necessary.
Ms. Rubell approaches therapy as a collaborative process grounded in curiosity and care. Her work is relational and psychodynamically informed, with attention to how past experiences and internal patterns shape current challenges. She supports clients in making room for difficult feelings, developing deeper self-understanding, and moving toward changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.
