He brings strong clinical foundation to his practice, having facilitated a weekly Men's Process Group, led therapeutic outdoor retreats in partnership with Fishing the Good Fight, and gained hands-on experience providing individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges.

Mr. Butterman has a particular clinical focus on pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults managing academic pressure, peer dynamics, emotional regulation, and major personal or career shifts. He brings an approachable, relatable presence that allows him to connect naturally with younger populations, build strong therapeutic rapport, and meet clients exactly where they are.

Mr. Butterman’s therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, collaborative, and grounded. He utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach tailored to each individual, seamlessly drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), psychodynamic exploration, and somatic awareness. By cultivating a safe, nonjudgmental space, he helps clients increase self-awareness, process complex emotions, develop adaptive coping strategies, and build the confidence to live authentically and resiliently.
