Elena Garcia-Davranova, M.Ed., LMSW, is a Licensed Social Worker in New York State. Ms. Garcia-Davranova holds a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies, a master's degree in early childhood education, and a master's degree in social work from New York University.

Prior to becoming a therapist, she had a 9 year career as an educator. Ms. Garcia-Davranova is certified in Crisis Intervention Counseling through the Long Island Crisis Center, is trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills through Living Works Education, and completed the Child, Adolescent and Parenting program at the Westchester Center for the Studies of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WCSPP).

Utilizing a psychodynamic approach, Ms. Garcia-Davranova works with children, adolescents, adults and families across the lifespan, and across cultures and identities. When supporting families, she works closely with both children and parents to facilitate a process of growth, concurrently supporting parents through the challenges of parenting while working with children to express their inner world through play, art and sand tray work. She supports individuals and families experiencing a variety of presenting concerns, including childhood trauma, grief and loss, relational conflict, anxiety and depression, attachment and separation, school and behavioral challenges, parenting, identity exploration as well as major life transitions.

Ms. Garcia-Davranova believes that all individuals and families have the potential for growth and healing. She is an attentive, non-judgmental therapist who provides the tools, resources and psychoeducation needed to help her clients progress toward their goals.
